Why do students love the Navigators at Penn State?!

The Navigators has been my favorite part of college so far. I actually did not plan on joining the  Navigators until I walked into the wrong ministry's worship night and it ended up being Navigators, and I LOVED IT. An upperclassman immediately walked up to me and my roommate when we walked in and felt so welcomed. I have met my best friends through this community and I’m so grateful for the way that everyone leads me closer to Christ.

I like the community in the Navigators and the way the group cares so much about each other. I’m always impressed by how fast people get comfortable and connected with a group they just met.

What I love about being in Navigators is the consistent support for my faith, the very real evidence of how God is working in our generation. Worshiping with other people my age is truly special! My favorite memory from the Navigators is a spontaneous worship night that occurred on the Spring break service trip this past semester.

There are a million things I love about Navigators - over the past three years, I have come to love the intentional and life-giving fellowship I’ve gotten to experience through Bible study, Friday night worship, the many retreats and by just doing life together!! I love how Navigators makes Penn State feel small and gives all those who are a part of the ministry a sense of belonging on campus as we are all continually growing in our relationships with Christ! I love seeing so many smiling and familiar faces around campus and the strong friendships that have been built through Navigators.

I love how there are so many types of people involved in Navs. Yet we are all worshiping and honoring the same God and that is what brings us together. Navigators has felt like a true family to me, everyone goes out of their way to just love one another, and really live in fellowship and community with one another. I also enjoy how adventurous and fun the Navigator community is.
